The registration fee included: attendance at all the sessions; abstract booklet; daily refreshments and lunches; registration and poster session receptions; two nights dinner and conference banquet; social programme and excursion.

We provided approximately fifteen travel grants ($750–$1,000) to students and delegates under the age of 35 from US academic institutions, courtesy of the US National Science Foundation.  Priority was given to those presenting an oral contribution, and an effort was made to distribute the awards across a range of universities and research groups.

Accommodation

5 Night Accommodation Package Fee

The accommodation package fee included: five nights single en-suite bed and breakfast accommodation, Sunday 4 – Thursday 8 September inclusive, at Selwyn College.  Bedrooms are for sole occupancy only.

Single Night Accommodation Fee
£75 per room per night

Single night accommodation is available from Sunday 4 to Thursday 8 September and includes: one night single en-suite bed and breakfast accommodation at Selwyn College.  Bedrooms are for sole occupancy only.

Single en-suite rooms have a shower; linen and bedding (two pillows and duvet) is provided, along with one hand towel and two bath sheets (changed twice weekly), complimentary soap and shampoo/shower gel; plus tea and coffee making facilities in rooms, and a daily cleaning service (Monday-Friday).  Other College facilities include: a gyp room on each landing with a microwave and fridge for communal use; on-site laundry (additional cost); free broadband access (wired and wifi).

From Selwyn College delegates can enjoy the full Cambridge experience all within close vicinity, just a short stroll away through the beautiful gardens and the famous riverside Backs.

Accompanying Persons Package

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Delegates are kindly reminded that participation in any of the excursions is undertaken at their own risk.  The Company or IQCLSW Workshop Secretariat/University of Leeds will not be responsible in any way for any accident, injury, damage or loss, whether direct or indirect, and accepts no liability for any consequences.

Payment in full should accompany your booking unless you have requested to pay by invoice (in which case a valid purchase order document must accompany your registration).  The conference fee is exempt from VAT.  Terms of payment are 30 days from invoice date and fees must be paid in full no later than 15 working days before the conference commences.

Registrations are accepted on the understanding that the printed programme is given in good faith but may have to be re-scheduled or the presenters changed for reasons outside the committee’s control.  The Committee reserves the right to cancel or postpone the conference, in which case fees will be refunded in full.  In the event of cancellation, the Committee/University will not be held liable for delegates travel or accommodation expenses.

Delegates will receive a full refund for cancellations made within 7 days of booking, except where the booking has been made for an event commencing within the next 7 days. Where a delegate wishes to cancel a registration after this 7 day period, written cancellations received up to 15 working days before the event will be subject to an administrative charge of 20% of the total remittance.  After this date the full fee is chargeable and no refunds will be made, this also applies for non-attendance but copies of the conference materials will be sent.  Substitutions may be made at any time. Please also note that your name, organisation and email address will appear on the conference delegate list.
